Environmental Policy

 

The management of HR-Focused recognise their responsibility to the environment and publish this policy to show their commitment to the protection of the environment.  It is the aim of HR-Focused to provide its customers with a safe and environmentally friendly centre. We will carry out all of our company's activities and objectives in an environmentally responsible manner.  We have recognised that through our activities we inevitably impact on the environment.  We consider that our main causes of concern arise from the use of energy, consumption of consumables and waste production.  To address these impacts we have developed the following policies.

 

Energy

  • HR-Focused will equip their offices with efficient and low energy lighting
  • Central heating will be controlled thermostatically and a timer will be used to minimise energy usage.

Consumables

  • Whenever economically justifiable, paper and other consumables used will be made from environmentally friendly or recycled material or from renewable resources.
  • HR-Focused will ensure that promotional printing will be on recycled paper or paper made from environmentally-friendly renewable resources.
  • Wherever possible we will re-use packaging materials, bags and boxes .
  • Emails will only be printed if necessary and a message will be attached to all outgoing emails with the
  • Ring binders are re-used wherever possible, with old contents being archived prior to shredding and recycling.

 

Recycling Waste

  • HR-Focused will collect all waste paper in recycling bins including shredded and normal waste paper. – This will be placed in designated recycling bags for collection each Wednesday
  • Printer Cartridges for Laser Printer are returned with packaging to manufacturer.
  • Cardboard and all plastic containers will be collected and recycled at the Swansea municipal recycling centre.

 

HR-Focused will comply with all relevant current environmental legislation.  It is the policy of HR-Focused to ensure that all personnel involved in the organisation's operations are fully aware of the company's environmental policy. All employees will have appropriate training: the managers will ensure that each employee understands the environmental aspects and controls of his/her responsibilities.

The policy will be published on our website and promoted to our customers by electronic means, where appropriate.
